ITINERARY (7 days/6 nights)
Day 1: City of Origin - Bogotá
Shuttle transfer to the hotel, B3Virrey or similar. The hotel is located in a great area for exploring.
Day 2: Bogotá - Salento (B,L,D)
Breakfast, Flight to Pereira at 10:25am. On arrival we will be transferred to Salento (1 hour and 15 minutes). Solento is one of the most striking of Colombia’s Heritage Towns. It is the oldest municipality in this region, known as the Cradle of "La Palma de Cera", the National Tree. Lunch on the road. Afternoon to see Calle Real with its brightly painted buildings and artisan craft shops. We will also see El Mirador, a viewpoint just northeast of town that overlooks the verdant valley and often mist mountains surrounding the town. Colombia’s coffee is world-famous, and Salento is set in the middle of Colombia’s coffee triangle. This afternoon we enjoy our fist coffee experience at Finca El Ocaso. Day 3: Cocora Valley (B,L,D)
Breakfast and transfer to the Cocora Valley (20 minutes). We will spend 4 hours hiking through the incredibly green landscape where gigantic wax palm trees, a national symbol, are home to rare parrots. The Valle de Cocora is one of the biggest draws to the region. We will look out for birds and wildlife in the riverside and forest settings. Day 4: Salento - Quindio (B,L,D)

We will then visit the town of Filandia, another of the charming towns in the coffee culture triangle. Lunch in town and transfer to a wonderful boutique farm stay at Hacienda Venecia. Day 5: Tinamu Reserve (B,L,D)
To all the bird nd nature lovers: after you have been spoiled by all the various species of birds at Hacienda Venecia, we hope you are inspired to venture out to the unforgettable experience of bird watching at the Tinamú Birding Nature Reserve. We will depart early in the morning to be at the reserve for first light. Breakfast in the field. We will be guided along one or two of the reserve’s trails. This 15 hectare reserve has 260 species of birds as well as primates, and butterflies. Return to Hacienda Venecia for lunch. Those not wishing to bird-watch might opt for reading, relaxing, painting or biking. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner at the Hacienda.
Day 6: Quindio - Medellín (B,L,D)
Breakfast and transfer to Finca La Romelia (30 minutes approx.) where we will enjoy their private collection 8000 orchid plants and look for some of the 218 species of birds that frequent the property. Day 7: Medellín departure (B)
Breakfast and a morning walking tourof Medellín, the “City of Eternal Spring" and now the most innovative city in Colombia and one of the global capitals of the 4th Industrial Revolution. We will take in a magnificent view of this inclusive city that is currently a place for positive transformation when touring around it and its most recognized places.
